Vehicle Type and Registration
Eligible Vehicles: Passenger vehicles located in the United States, registered to you or an authorized owner, meeting all state legal requirements.
Ineligible Vehicles: This list includes motorcycles, limousines, box trucks, vehicles seating more than 10 people, RVs, vehicles requiring a commercial license, off-road vehicles, and certain three-wheeled vehicles.
License Plates: Vehicles must have permanent or temporary plates. Dealer or trader plates are not accepted.
Vehicle Condition
Age and Mileage: Vehicles should be no more than 12 years old and have fewer than 130,000 miles. Exceptional vehicles that exceed this mileage may remain listed if they're in excellent condition.
Maintenance: Continue meeting Turo's maintenance and safety standards as your vehicle ages.
Value Limit: The fair market value should be up to $200,000, with Turo covering the actual cash value up to this amount.
New York Specifics
Inspection Sticker: Vehicles in New York must have an inspection sticker valid through at least the following month.
Host Orientation: Hosts must complete Turo's host orientation before listing vehicles.
Title and Total Loss
Clean Title: Vehicles must have a clean title. It’s important to know your vehicle’s history and obtain a vehicle history report if necessary.
Total Loss: Vehicles should never have been declared a total loss.
Vehicle Insurance and Consistency
Insurance: Your vehicle must meet Turo’s insurance requirements.

OEM Tracker: For vehicles valued at $125,000 or more, proof of an active OEM tracker is required.
Specialty or Classic Vehicles
Age and Value: Classic cars 25 years or older (with special considerations for those 12-25 years old) can be listed, with a value up to $85,000.
Condition: These vehicles must be in excellent mechanical and physical condition and have all seat belts in safe, working condition.
